Under the visionary leadership of its MD/CEO, Regina Robinson, Global Affairs Magazine Foundation, a non-governmental organisation has successfully embarked on a massive charity outreach, touching the lives of the less privileged.
GAM foundation has been providing crucial assistance to underserved communities in the Ikotun area of Lagos.
According to the organizers, with a multi-million-naira budget, the foundation on Match 11th, 2025, gave scholarships to some students, educational materials, food supplies to widows, essential resources to underprivileged communities and struggling families.

GAM Foundation in partnership with View Point Specialist Eye Center gave out free eyeglasses to people with eye problems, free eye test was conducted for over 60 people and 20 people received free eye glasses. Some of the beneficiaries who didn’t need eye glasses were given eye drops for free.

Amb. Mabel Abel-Onaiwu Founder/CEO SHE Safety and Health Initiative did a presentation on health safety at the GAM Foundation charity program that took place at Ikotun (the most populated area in Lagos). The ‘feed a family’ charity themed “Touching Hands, Healing Hearts” was indeed a historic outreach aimed at restoring hope, spreading love, and reaffirming humanity’s core values.
The initiative, according to the convener, has reached over 200 beneficiaries, impacting more than 500 household members across the community.

Their efforts, the organisation said, were focused on addressing urgent needs in the community, particularly in the realms of healthcare, education and food security.
The event featured a comprehensive medical and food distribution services, aimed at alleviating the hardships faced by residents.
Since its establishment, GAM Foundation has been committed to delivering sustainable solutions in the lives of the less privileged, with a focus on enhancing access to quality education for children in low-income communities. Recognising education as a vital tool for breaking the cycle of poverty, the foundation remains steadfast in its mission to bridge critical gaps in the academics of out-of-school children.

GAM Foundation has given scholarships to quite a number of students, the foundation has paid WAEC fee for a lot of students whose parents could not afford the fee.
Speaking with newsmen the MD/CEO, Regina Robinson disclosed that this intervention will directly impact the community by reducing educational barriers, boost pupils and students confidence, and encourage school attendance. “It underscores our vision to reach out to persons with difficulties and give them the opportunity to provide a voice of their own as we showcase the effect on a larger society for all to see and emulate. This is also in line with our mission to encourage, enable and improve the lives of the less privileged by empowering and making them relevant in the society”. She said.
