Why You Should Never Make a Foreigner Feel Unwelcomed in Your Country

It is pertinent for citizens of every country to embrace foreigners in their country and never make them feel unwelcomed. Without discrimination a host country should always protect the rights of non-nationals as they respect the laws and the regulations of the state on whose territory they are based.

The issue of migrants right being abused in some country is becoming persisted.

Recall that over 10 Nigerian teenage girls allegedly trafficked to Ghana for prostitution were rescued. The girls, all under the age of 18, were reportedly lured from Nigeria to Ghana by a nameless man who was eventually arrested by the police in Ghana.

Abike Dabiri-Erewa in a post said another set of girls have been rescued. “The culprit will be charged to court in Ghana next week and arrangements being made to bring the rescued girls back to Nigeria.

Again, the situation of Nigerians (or any individuals) sleeping on the streets in extreme cold weather in a foreign country is a very serious and concerning issue. It exposes them to significant health risks, including hypothermia, frostbite, and other cold-related illnesses. It is important for the local authorities and humanitarian organizations to address this issue promptly.

For Nigerians or any individuals experiencing homelessness in a foreign country, it is crucial to seek assistance from local shelters, outreach programs, and social services. These organizations can provide temporary housing, warm clothing, and access to healthcare services. Additionally, it’s important to reach out to community and religious organizations, as they may offer support and resources to those in need.

In the long term, addressing homelessness and providing support for vulnerable populations, including immigrants, is a complex issue that requires a comprehensive approach. This may involve policy changes, increased affordable housing options, employment opportunities, and access to social services. It’s also important for the local community to show compassion and support for those experiencing homelessness, regardless of their background.

If you or someone you know is in need of immediate assistance, please encourage them to seek help from local shelters, social services, or emergency hotlines. The well-being and safety of individuals sleeping on the streets in extreme cold weather should be a priority for the community and local authorities.
