SCOAN Unites Nations as Global Worshipers Gather in Lagos for Electrifying Thanksgiving Celebration

The annual thanksgiving service of Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) that held yesterday (7th December 2025), drew a global audience to its headquarters in Ikotun, Lagos.

The event was attended not only by Nigerians, but also worshipers from outside the country — reflecting the global reach of the church.

The service opened with songs of praise in multiple languages, including Swahili, French, English and Ashanti — emphasizing the international character of the congregation.

The colourful event witnessed a huge turn out of members, well wishers, guests artistes and invited guests from all over the world with an array of kaleidoscope of group members in scintillating colours of different attires.

The church’s leader, Pastor Evelyn TB Joshua, cladded in a simple but elegant attire expressed deep gratitude to God for faithfulness over the year, and urged members and Nigerians generally to trust God in the coming year.

“As you live to the coming year, i encourage you all, hold onto God with absolute trust.

“Walk with him boldly, expectantly, and joyfully. For the path of the righteous is like the shining sun that shines ever brighter onto the perfect day. We know that in the ministry, better is not good enough. The best is yet to come.” She said.

She praised supporters — including partners of Emmanuel TV — for their role in sustaining the ministry’s work, noting progress in physical infrastructure, unity among members, and spiritual growth.

In prayer, she asked God to intervene on behalf of Nigeria — for deliverance from insecurity and other national challenges, calling for joy and fulfilment for citizens.

Joshua expressed deep gratitude to God for his faithfulness throughout the year, saying, “My heart overflows with gratitude to God Almighty, the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Prophet TB Joshua. He is the God who speaks, who leads and never fails. Give thanks to God, for he is good; His mercy endures forever.”

Reflecting on the church’s journey in the outgoing year, she posited that it has unfolded just as revealed by the holy spirit – a “forward-looking year” marked by countless testimonies.

Honourable Senator Alice Dube, a Member of Parliament in Zimbabwe, delivered the vote of thanks, warmly appreciating everyone present—members, Emmanuel TV partners, the media team, ushers—for their active participation and dedication. She acknowledged God’s faithfulness in the lives of Prophet TB Joshua and his wife, Pastor Evelyn Joshua, and celebrated the unity and commitment of all who contributed to the success of the service.

Global Audience & International Participation

As noted, worshippers came from outside Nigeria, signalling that SCOAN continues to draw a worldwide following.

The use of several languages in praise and worship reflects the diversity of attendees — a deliberate inclusion of people from different linguistic backgrounds, reinforcing SCOAN’s global outreach.

The service highlighted gratitude for the church’s journey: accounts were given of healing, transformation, and upliftment of members over the past year.

The church continues to position itself as a global ministry: its media platform, Emmanuel TV plays a great role in global evangelism, spreading its messages and testimonies beyond Nigeria.

The call for divine intervention for Nigeria — especially regarding security and national stability — indicates that the church is not just inward-looking, but socially conscious of the nation’s troubles and faith in spiritual remedy.

The thanksgiving service is part of an annual tradition to celebrate God’s faithfulness and grace upon the church as well as the great and mighty works of God still heralding the ministry. (this is the 4th thanksgiving service initiated under Pastor Evelyn Joshua’s leadership).

The SCOAN’s new administration will stop at nothing to preserve the legacy of the church’s founder, Prophet TB Joshua.
