Founder and Head of Inri Evangelical Spiritual Church, Lagos, Primate Elijah Babatunde Ayodele on Saturday lambasted new generation pastors that have successfully turned healing and Prophecy into comedy.
The Ekiti State-born prophet during the Unveiling of the 30th edition of his annual prophecy book titled Warnings To The Nations on July 6th, 2024, said pastors are contributing to the current hardship in the country. He stressed that PFN and CAN are not spiritual entity but political.
“30 years of Prophetic ministration, I have learnt a lot. You know me I don’t belong to PFN and CAN. I don’t belong to all those association because they are political. They are not spiritual entity. You see CAN president, CAN chairman of any state they’re just doing it for what they will gain because the organization is not ordained by God. It is a man made organization, they are not working for Christians, they are working for the government of the day.
“That’s why Christianity is not moving forward. Ask me how many industries did CAN or PFN established. How many people have they given employments?Non, because the leadership in CAN does not have focus. They are self-centered, they’re not doing the right thing.
“We are talking about poverty, we are talking about hardship yet we have churches who are very rich, they make billions yet we are crying of hardship.
“The church contributed to the hardship of this country. Pastors are not giving out because they want to acquire this wealth to themselves “alone.
“You see a pastor buying helicopter, jet and they will tell you they are using it for evangelism. Evangelism my foot! How many pastors go to inlands to do revival? They rather go to America, London, Mega Cities because that’s where they preach prosperity. They will tell you that they are doing healing, yes I subscribe to healing. There’s healing but pastors have turned everything upsidedown, they have turned healing into comedy. They have turned prophecy to comedy. ‘Do I know you before…… Can I prophesy…. So all of these are not allowed, these are comedian pastors. It doesn’t work that way so it’s time to stop the idea of can I prophesy….. It mus be stopped, enough is enough.
“Pastors are contributing problems to our nation, to the word at large.” Primate Ayodele said.
Primate Ayodele started publishing his annual prophecy book ‘Warnings To The Nations’ since 1994 and the prophecy book has over the years served as a means of direction, revelation, insight, and solution to individuals, presidents, governors, world leaders, multinationals, corporate bodies, to mention but a few.
