Former Lagos State gubernatorial candidate and Chairman/Chief Consultant, Global Transport Policy News And Services, Dr. Oluwasegun Musa, Friday led a delegation on a courtesy visit to the new Lagos Commissioner of Police deployed to Lagos State Police Command, Adegoke Mustapha Fayoade.
Musa who expressed his genuine willingness to give maximum support to the New Lagos CP in the discharge of his duty of piloting the affairs of safety and security of lives and property in the state postulates that Global Transport Policy is poised to partner with the Lagos State Police Command for improved policing and enhanced service to the Lagos State citizens. He commended the CPs dedication and commitment to transforming the Lagos State Police workforce.
Speaking further, Musa maintained that as part of GTP’s Corporate Social Responsibility, it will be offering free training to Divisional Traffic Officers (DTOs) serving in the Lagos State Police Command themed: “Improving Traffic Policing: Leveraging On Emotional Intelligence Skills”. He posited that the training objectives is to equip police officers with the necessary knowledge and skills to enhance their emotional intelligence in traffic management.
According to him the free training will specifically focus on crucial issues including developing self-awareness and self-regulation to manage stress and emotions effectively, enhancing empathy and social skills for better communication and conflict resolution, applying emotional intelligence techniques in real-life traffic scenarios to de-escalate conflicts and promote cooperation.
The Lagos State Police Commissioner in his response expressed his profound gratitude in GTP’s move to recognize the role of the Nigerian Police Force in assessing the potential of transportation.
